My name is Johan Nel and I am a craftsman working from a small workshop in Knysna, South Africa, a few hours from Cape Town, where I produce by hand, exclusive and elegant jewellery packaging and presentation boxes from the finest quality local and exotic woods.

Each item is individually crafted to reflect the beauty of the wood, as well as meeting the requirements set by the client.  I love working with the various woods, and the passion I have is hopefully self-evident in the pieces I make.

If you can imagine it - I can make it!  I am able to design for you the most perfect box to compliment your beautiful jewellery pieces.  My website most certainly cannot include every item that I have made or can make, so if you have an idea or a concept for a specific item,  please feel free to discuss it with me.

We do carry a standard range of items, as displayed currently on this website, but most of our work is done on order. 

Custom Orders

We welcome custom orders, whereby we require a clear and concise description of the project requirements.  You will be given a formal quotation, and upon acceptance thereof,  production will commence.

Time Scale

The time requirements necessary to design and make up a special order may vary.  I always have a certain quantity of timber in stock so that I am in a position to make up an order reasonably quickly, depending on work at hand, the size of the order and if a specific wood is needed.  Please contact me to discuss your requirements.

 Pricing of Boxes

The price of a box may vary.  Price tends to reflect the time taken and the complexity of the design, rather than in the materials, although in some cases, woods such as Pink Ivory or African Blackwood will have a significant effect on the price.  Trade enquiries are welcome.
